What's included

Lateral is an academic research and literature review platform powered by artificial intelligence, designed to speed up reading and evidence extraction across scientific papers. The system processes PDF document libraries and structures research findings systematically. The platform enables researchers to upload multiple academic papers and search across them simultaneously for specific concepts, generating comparative matrices and highlighting relevant findings automatically. Users can tag insights, organize findings by research questions, and export synthesized tables. It was built for academic researchers, graduate students, and policy analysts conducting extensive literature reviews. The platform operated under a subscription model and has closed new user registrations following its sunset.
