What's included

Deep Nostalgia (developed by the genealogy platform MyHeritage) is an artificial intelligence-driven photo animation tool that brings still portraits to life. The technology applies deep learning algorithms to animate faces in vintage family photos and historical portraits into short, realistic video clips. The system utilizes pre-recorded driver videos containing natural human gestures to apply facial movements such as blinking, subtle smiles, and head tilts to still images. Before animating, the tool enhances the source image by increasing facial resolution and sharpening details to ensure realistic results. The platform is designed for genealogists, family historians, archivists, and individuals seeking to connect with ancestral photographs in a dynamic format. The pricing model operates on a freemium basis, offering a limited number of free photo animations upon registration alongside unlimited access via MyHeritage subscription plans.
